Although it usually is Theron who's allowing the kids on the counter and covered with some sort of mess, I guess the fault is all mine this time. The kids were having too much fun, and looked too cute. I remember sharing the bowl and licking beaters when I was a kid. I think parents do that, so for a brief moment when their mouths are full, we don't have to hear them arguing.
